Joanne spent her early years as an Air Force bratt. Home, for her, was never a place...it was her family. While in Delaware she met Mark Walter, an enlisted Air Force member from Baltimore, Maryland. Joanne and Mark eloped in September of 1977. Later she enlisted in the Air Force, herself, to become a Crew Chief on the C-5 Galaxy aircraft. She served as an active duty member for almost ten years, and then in the Reserves for 3 years.
Mark & Joanne have 2 sons: Matthew (Matt) and Jon Luke (Jack).

Mark and Joanne settled in Warner Robins Georgia after Mark retired, as a Chief Master Sergeant, from his 28 year military service.
Early in 2004 Mark & Joanne had an estate sale, put their house on the market and boarded an RV to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world of Drag Racing across North America. They (and their son Jack) were on the road, full time, for the next 18 months. In June of 2005, following a bout with vertigo (Joanne) the team came to an abrupt halt. The house had not sold and ended up rented. At the same time as the vertigo incident, their renters decided to move to a house of their own.
While on the road, Mark & Jo had developed a web-design business, J-Angel Productions , to benefit ministries who could not afford a web presence. Their designs were so well received that they were encouraged to go commercial. Currently Joanne acts as the home base co-ordinator for the various teams of JAMA Racing Ministry in addition to her role as wife, mom and web-designer for J-Angel.
In addition to J-Angel and JAMA Events, Joanne, Mark and Jack are all enrolled at Middle Georgia Technical College persuing various degrees and certfications. Matt is enrolled at Macon State College for his preliminary courses as a mechanical engineer. He will finish at Georgia Tech.
Who ever said life with God is boring?!?
